HIghly underrated movie

I am posting this because Goodbye Mr Cool was released long before IMDB began catching the good asian movies.

Ekin Cheng is a very significant actor and deserves much nore recognition for his style. This movie showcases and captures a golden age in HK cinema. It should not be missed.

If you see this movie make sure to post comments to more people know about it.

I agree with you there, it does capture a brilliant time in HK cinema. A brilliant film held up by Ekin Cheng's performance. The only thing which let it down for me slightly was Karen Mok's character because her place in the movie and her relationship with her son felt really artificial and it just didn't gel with the more realistic story for Ekin Cheng's character.

It is still a great film and is even more enjoyable if you watch all the young and dangerous series previously as it acts as an unofficial sequel.
