Fingertips

Fingertips is arguably the highlight of Apollo 18, and I had thought that it was just snippets of different songs thrown together as some sort of audial collage. But I recently heard from someone that Fingertips is actually a song about the life cycle. When listening to some parts, this makes sense. But some parts just don't make any sense (Everything is catching on fire, c'mon and wreck my car, please pass the milk, etc). Anyone out there know what the story is?

The map sez we're f--ked!

This is due to the common phenomenon that I like to refer to as "stating an opinion as fact". There are numerous interpretations for many of TMBG's songs, and as far as I know They haven't released any official explanation of what it's about.

There actually isn't, you might be able to find something if you looked hard enough, but that album was intended to be played on shuffle and the pieces of Fingertips get dispersed throughout.

I'd say that hearing them play Fingertips live is the highlight of any TMBG concert. For me at least.

Especially if the people you're with have no idea what it is. :-P

I believe TMBG's official explanation was that it was meant to sound like one of those record commercials where you only hear snippets of songs.
