Actually this movie was pretty good. Rotten tomatoes even gave it a 79%. If you didn't like it, you probably just didn't get it or just couldn't relate to it.

reply

If you're gonna dis the movie, at least give a reason. I like this movie, even though i've only seen parts of it. (I was watching it on and off earlier today on tv)

Last movies seen:
Saw 4 - 6/10
Drillbit Taylor - 8/10
Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem - 8/10

If anyone can relate to it, it should be marching band members. And as a former member, this movie was horrible.

reply

As jordank-8 said, if you're going to dis the movie, please give a reason. Why did you find it horrible?

reply

Wow, theres a lot of trolls on this board, I highly doubt that guy that said he was a former member actually is a former band member if he says this movie is horrible.

reply

I play marching baritone and think this movie's retarded.

I was in a very competitive marching band in high school, and while I think the movie is good for a movie about the subject, it is hardly realistic. And I absolutely hate traditional style marching. As much as I like this movie, every time I watch it I have to go watch some drum corps videos afterword to see some good marching.

reply

This movie is very realistic IF you have ever been in a black college marching band. I was in a corps style MB in HS and a high marching/freestyle black college band and it was relatable to all of my fellow bandmates. Our band did get into a fight with another college band, exactly the way it happened in the movie, we were blocking, drumlines battling, things got to close and the fight broke out. Our director was of the same mentality teaching music before sounds although he didn't go as far as having us play flight of the bumblebee on the stands (thank goodness). And the story is about the very real record producer dallas austin and his experience. So just because you can not relate to it, doesn't make it any less realistic.

Last place I marched to was a grocery store and I love this movie!

Well i thought i could relate to this stuff seeing as how i was in band for 10 years of my life (and still going). BUt lets be honest.. Nick Cannon is one of the most god awful actors around... it doesn't seem natural very rehearsed... second there are little technical problems i have with this movie... one example being when he is recording his snare part in the band room the music is printing out flats and sharps?!!? ... and i am sorry but high step marching bands do not sound that good!!! Go watch DCI.

plain and simple. It was not Intended to be deep but it moved very nicely and was wholesome in an original setting. Heaven forbid these days.
Theres always "The Hours' or "American Beauty" if you need more weirdness.

Something people on this site need to learn badly is the difference between "worst movie ever" and "my least favorite movie".

Worst/best are opinions, not facts.

Idiot.

reply

Obviously, you've never seen Black Knight.

reply

I found it boring.

Think about all the other terrible movies in the world: "Manos: The Hands of Fate"; "Plan 9 From Outer Space"; "Black Knight"; "Daddy Day Care"...the list goes on. Though this movie is a very stereotypical, trashy cliched musical version of "Top Gun" it is not the worst movie ever made.
