she throw him to get him away from her.

in the end she didn't want to be a vampire. she wanted to be free, she wanted dead.

reply

ok but why would she want to get him away from her

reply

she was a vampire, he human. she drinks blood. i think that she didn't want to drink his blood and his blood was to much of a tempation. it is a blood lust thing. some times you can fight it and sometimes to the beast within comes out to play.

Elizabeth is essentially a junkie. She can't control her actions. She's not so much hooked on humans as she is on the blood of other vamps. Drac says "she's found the taking of innocent blood to be intolerable" or something like that. She throws Luke for a variety of reasons. She doesn't want to attack him, she doesn't want to leave, she's caught in this shameful place that's become her own personal hell and she sees no way out, even when Luke says he's there to save her. She knows Luke's version of saving her isn't what will save her. Hence what she asks him to do at the end. And lastly, she throws Luke (I think it says this on the commentary) because the studio thought they might want to kill Luke. This was where they were potentially gonna do that. Smarter heads prevailed and he lives to walk out alone.
