So what the hell happened to Van Helsing's daughter?

I thought Ascention was supposed to be a sequal to Dracula 2000. It picked up with a nice crispy Dracula, but where did Van Helsing's daughter go? She vowed to keep the remains secure so *beep* like this wouldn't happen! Is this going to be explained in Legacy? (assuming the bloody thing is ever released)

It seems to me she's guarding the wrong body.

Luke and Elizabeth switched the bodies. Uffizi, realizing it was the wrong body and that it posed no danger, just left it there. Unfortunately, Mary didn't know about the switch and claimed the body that was left in the morgue. I'll bet she feels pretty silly when she finds out Drac is still running around.

That could actually make for a half-decent Dracula IV: Mary Van Helsing with sidekicks Simon and Luke vs the Dracula Formerly Known As... oops, almost gave away the ending to this one.

Not wanting to live anymore myself, to me the great mystery has become why everyone else do.

Exactly the point (though I don't see anybody screaming for a sequel).

Nonetheless. Simon and Mary are missing. And as you said since she (Mary) is guarding the body. Therefore. Just whose body did Luke and Elizabeth "resurrect".

Very poor editing.

But a good screenplay writer can clean up all of the loose ends from all three films and make this a real thriller.

They just have to get away from the hack writers.

I have a wonderful idea. But they'll never hire me!
