Definitely agree with the guy above "JrnlofEddieDeezenStudies".
A 6.2 is a respectable score on this site. Any movie rated above 6 generally represents a 'good' movie or worth a watch. Even a 5 rating and above is actually not so bad. Personally, I realise that it isn't an "amazing" movie, but it's great at what it set out to do, and that was create a comedy with a bit of drama thrown in, ultimately in a relaxed fashion. Barbershop isn't a movie I'd say is "brilliant", but it's a really great movie to put on and kick back to, even have on in the background while you're browsing on your laptop/PC or whatever. Cedric the Entertainer's role of Eddie is enough to warrant fits of laughter, along with Tate and Anderson's comedy duo of the clumsy crooks.
If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 7.5. I think it's a very fair score. It's personally one of my all time favourite comedy films if I'm honest, along with the sequel, and I'll continue to watch it for years to come.
It's all about context, when a movie as excellent as The Shawshank Redemption is rated at just over 9, it would be wrong to rate Barbershop close to it to be honest.
