Why different actors in season 2?

Does anyone know why two of the sons are played by different actors this season?

reply

I don't know why, sorry. But what actor did they change, other than Cisco?

Conrado is also played by a different actor. I think last season's Cisco wasn't very good, so I can understand changing him, but I thought last season's Conrado was good.

reply

I dont know, but Kurt Caceras who was Conrado was over on The Shield recently as a gangbanger. For those who watch the show, he was involved in that scene with Captain Aceveda getting violated.

reply

Yancey Arias took over the part of Conrado. (The character was barely in the first two seasons.)Mr. Arias was the star of NBC's short-lived series, "Kingpin."

reply

Mr. Arias was the star of NBC's short-lived series, "Kingpin."

If I am not mistaken, Kingpin had a full run. It was an extended mini-series and was not meant to have a second season.

reply

Pablito changed too but since the first episode was the only one that fetured a different Pablito and Cisco it wasn't to noticable.

reply

There was a lengthy delay between seasons, and several of the series original actors moved on to other roles. Esai Morales always traveled back and forth between coasts to film both "NYPD:Blue" and "American Family," but some of the other actors were unable to do two series at once, and recasts were necessary.

reply

Actually, most of NYPD:Blue is filmed in Los Angeles, as is American Family. NYPD:Blue films at Fox Studios in Los Angeles.

I actually had the opportunity to ask Kurt Caceres why he didn't return for the second season. He told me that he was filming an ABC show called Threat Matrix, and the schedules conflicted. He seems like a really nice guy.
