Joss Whedon said that he doesnt want to make the original series come back,because it would never feel the same,etc. but he is open to do new stories set in the same universe. What could be some cool ideas for a Firefly spinoff?

Well, he could maybe take the ubiquitous guild companions and combine them with the creeps at Blue Sun/ The Alliance who mind-wipe people and make them superhumans. Then, he could have, like, a brothel, but the companions there undergo similar conditioning to River, so they can cater to their clients any way and every way possible. Then, you've got companions waking up from this treatment and trying to escape and...
