im a little confused...

Let me start off by saying I really liked this movie. I can't quite put my finger on exactly why I like it but I really do.

Im a little confused though. maybe it's because I started watching the movie 15 or 20 minutes into it so i missed the beginning but they talked about how some people believe that those who are autistic may have certain psychic abilities. and while i don't know if this is true or not, in the movie The way I understood it was that the little girl who was communicating with Matt was trying to warn him about his brain tumor because she could somehow sense that it was there. What im confused about is exactly how was she warning him about it? Was it somethng to do with the little red riding hood story?? or did she know that by leading him into the water he'd pass out and the doctors would discover it? I think im missing something.
