I saw the production footage that came with the Survival Kit. My friend and I nearly vomitted when we saw the trailer. Basically, to me, it looked like an erotic/thriller skin flick that they knew wouldn't succeed, so they tagged the Sleepaway Camp name on it, threw in some scenes from the other movies, and re-wrote a bit of the plot just so it would actually sell at least 2 copies.
Lord, am I glad this didn't go through.
I agree that the trailer was really bad.
But I will tell you this, the script was written as an SC sequel. The film was about a woman who had survived the first three films but couldn't remember due to amnesia. Thinking she might be able to identify the murderer and might regain her memory, her psychiatrist sends her to the site of the murders. When she arrives, she is met by a ranger who tries to rape her. She runs into the woods, confused, and begins to remember things very slowly. She starts to suspect she's the killer and then runs into a haunter in the woods who she stays the night with. Then we're introduced to a couple staying out in the woods and they get tied into what is going on as well. Then one by one, they get knocked off until one remains... who is the killer. It wasn't meant to be an erotic/skin thriller, my friend. They only got to film little tidbits of the film but the production comapny, Double Helix Films, had gone bankrupt and productions on SC 4 shut down.
