This film is a tribute and excellent homage to the genius film maker Bela Tarr

Gerry is filled with an obvious love of Bela Tarr's works, he even gets a thanks in the end credits!
The long tracking shots, the very slow pace of the story, the not needing to explain things completely , all are nods towards Bela Tarr's unique style of film making and as a homage to Mr Tarr it is a worthy film indeed.
