Good Show

Cuentame is one of the best tv shows in recent times. I enjoy watching each episode. The show is done with care, enthusiasm and with interest.

I watch this with my mum on this spanish cable we get through to England. So many times the programmes we had from Spain had such bad acting and such bad story lines but Cuéntame is excellent, the acting is so natural and the storylines are also precise with the era in which it is set. As my mum lived in Spain during Franco's rule (she would have been Inés' age) she constantly comments on how correct and efficient the programme is. The only downfall may be that you can only really appreciate this programme to the fullest when you know spanish culture and its history. Still, really good stuff!

Look, it's "My Darling"!!!!!
Fernand Mondego: What happened to your mercy?
Edmond Dantes: I'm a count, not a saint.

I think this show is enjoyable even if you are not much into Spanish culture. As a matter of fact, this has actually made me learn more about the culture of Spain. When I started watching the show, all I knew was that Franco was a dictator, who died when I was a child (I was born in '71). Watching "Cuéntame" has taught me a lot, and it has made me want to know more about the history and the present of Spain. The show is great. I wish we had something like that, here in Argentina.

I absolutely agree!! The show is awesome, I'd even say it's my favorite (along with Mad Men). All through my teen years I would come home on Thursdays to watch it on TV. I now live in NH, but luckily I'm still able to watch it on tve.es. I wish it was more widely known tho, it deserves all those awards!
