just released on DVD? why 5 years?

This movie was made in 2003, can someone tell me why it was just released on DVD... 5 years after it was made?

Probably because it's not very enthralling. I found myself having to take a break and re-visit it the next day - I was literally falling asleep.

The concept is great, the time in history is great, the actors are great, the movie... ummmm, not so great.

I was disappointed and found it was probably better suited for a 2 night mini-series on TV rather than on the big screen...

Sorry but if I'm going to be honest here, it really failed to capture my attention until the King's trial and the aftermath...

Well I thought it was interesting for a, thankfully, +/- 90 minute movie. As an American, though, I did have to go back thru my general books on the English Civil War to nail down a few questions.
Glad I'm not the only one who wondered what took it so long to cross the Atlantic. And I got it at a half-off store!

Can't think why they bothered to release it at all, it's complete rubbish! Old Noll will be spinning in his grave (wherever it is!)
