Exact Number of Zombies and Monsters/Creatures/B. O.W.'s (SPOILERS)

I just finished a counting run on Normal mode (Once Again Mode) with Chris on the original GCN version of REmake. Used the rocket launcher to keep heads intact to test for crimson head transformations.

There are 51 total zombies in the game. Including Forest, the mandatory crimson head in Cupid's Corridor and the Crimson Head Elder

I decided to count each model type of zombie as well.

These are the details:

Worker I Zombie (Bald, first zombie): 7

Worker II Zombie: 12, including 1 crawler

Worker III Zombie: 12, including 1 crawler

Bald Zombie: 5

Rotund (Fat) Zombie: 2

Graveyard Zombie: 2

Researcher I (Lab Coat) Zombie: 3

Researcher II (Doctor scrubs): 2

Naked Zombie: 3

Notes:

There are 35 zombies in the Spencer Mansion, 2 in the graveyard in the back of the mansion, 2 in the Residence, 8 in the Laboratory, 1 in the Crypt (Crimson Head Elder), 1 on the path to Lisa Trevor's Cabin and 2 in the graveyard containing the magnum.

The Graveyard and Rotund zombies are only encountered outside the Spencer Mansion, in the back graveyard, and later in the graveyard containing the magnum. They never become crimson heads for some reason. Also, naked zombies never become crimson heads. Any theories as to why not?

I killed the two zombies in Cupid's Corridor immediately upon encountering them, and the Worker III Zombie (white shirt) transformed into a crimson head later. However, the bald zombie did not. I revisited the area multiple times later, and it still had not revived. The body did remain, however. Why did they both not reanimate later, considering they were both killed almost at the same time? Do the times really vary that drastically for V-ACT?

The list also includes the four zombies that burst through the windows when backtracking through the long hallway leading to the shotgun room.

Most if not all rooms have been revisited.

Models: Worker I Zombie is the first zombie encountered, the bald one eating Kenneth.

Worker II Zombie is the one in a brownish suit coat. The same model that is the mandatory crimson head that needs to be encountered in Cupid's Corridor (where the Golden Arrow is obtained).

Worker III Zombie is the one in the bloody, white dress shirt.

The Bald Zombie is the zombie with a bit of hair on the sides of his head wearing a red/maroon sweater vest.

The Rotund Zombie is the heavy-set zombie that is bald and lacks most clothes. Can be found with the Graveyard zombie on two occasions.

The Graveyard Zombie is the zombie that is usually found with the rotund zombie. It appears to be very skinny and decayed, with rib bones exposed.

Researcher I Zombie (Lab Coat) is the zombie wearing a bloodstained, white lab coat.

Researcher II Zombie is the zombie dressed in a blue doctor's uniform.

Naked Zombies are obviously nude zombies.

Other Monsters/B.O.W.'s (not including most bosses, crows, snakes and bees):

Cerberus (Zombie Dog): 12, including the one after opening the doors to the main hall

Hunters: 16 (12 in the mansion and 4 in the mines)

Chimeras: 14

Spiders: 8, including Black Tiger (2 in the Residence, 3 in the mansion and 3 in the mines)

Now I know that Jill's game varies in certain ways. The zombie in the bathroom is killed in a cutscene and the hanging/suicide body reanimates. I plan to do a Jill count run as well.

Does the Hard mode contain more zombies and enemies, or are their attacks and health just increased? I'm fairly certain that Easy mode eliminates certain zombies.

Sorry for the long post, but I think it's interesting information.

Thanks for this :D I was wondering how many Chimeras there were, hate those things, I was planning on next time I play the game to just cull them all as soon as I get to the lab, but for some reason I thought they might be infinite numbered :P
