Mother of 3-D Survival Horror

What did you think of this game?

I remember playing AitD long ago when I still had nothing more than a Windows 3.1 OS. I recently bought it again when my intrest was rekindled by my love for H.P. Lovecraft. I still love the gameplay though it lags terribly in Windows XP. It's nice to see some of the things again and actually know their roots in Lovecraftian horror. I remember making fun of some of the monsters in it, particularly the window-breaking monster we named the chickenman. Anyone have any other ideas of what that one could be?
