The Maid
When Frances comes to interview, she is greeted by a maid. We never see or hear about the maid again, although most of the rest of the story takes place at the house. Is this cutting room floor stuff?
shareYes, it's odd that she completely and immediately disappears from the narrative. After all Frances the secretary does various things for Fitzgerald, but she doesn't do house cleaning--so who's keeping his house relatively neat?
