Who killed Jason?

Wonder if anyone can help me. I just saw the second season, ending with Jason being drunk on the roof and almost falling down. Someone approaches, and instead of helping Jason, hits his hand so that he falls. Now unfortunately, season 3 will not be showing here, so I wondered if anyone can tell me who it was that made Jason why (and if they get caught for it later)?

she actually ending up dying in the first episode of series 3 and a few episodes later her husband admits to seeing her do it.
