This movie scared the living daylights out of me!

I'm a horror fan and didn't expect this flick to be so scary since it was labeled a thriller. Anyway I watched it late at night (about 1.00 am if I remember correctly)alone in my bed, lights off, no one else at home. I don't scare easy but this thing had my heart going. It may not have been the best story but the effects were really really good in my opinion. Also didn't she see or talk to her father on the boat before or right after (can't remember for sure)she discovered he died? If that's true then that begs the question whether all those spirits were really an illusion. The ending was a little surprising considering what she just went through in the ocean though. Anyway I didn't think this movie was all that bad.
