I'm sure I'll get eaten alive for this but I truly think this is a better "gangster" movie than Scarface. It screams originality and authenticity, with such ridiculous scenes as Beans rolling up on Bleek who turns around and shoots at him before even seeing who it is.

Jay-Z gotta be the funniest dude in the whole movie with this "you think i need a haircut" lines and casually getting at Dame about being a punk

People who hate on this are people who don't understand the culture of the people who made this movie. This is a movie by the streets for the streets, if you ain't been in the game then you probably won't like it and if you ain't up on the vernacular then you won't understand it but this movie is DOPE.

And the scene when the shoot dude talking bout "which hand you roll up with"....INSANE. this along with "Shottas" are the 2 best "gangsta" movies of all time, hands down. Add "Belly" and you got the tri-fecta

Your whole theory is wrong, wrong. People who hate this movie do understand the culture. We understand that sno on the bluff was about 5 times better and authentic and original than this piece of garbage.
