Belly Ripoff

State Property is not the best written or acted movie I've ever seen, but it's pretty entertaining if you like gangster movies. This movie is not as bad as everyone is ripping it. I'll say that it is not nearly as good as Belly, but much much much better than Menace to Society.
I noticed some striking similarities between the movie and Belly (which was realeased 3 or 4 years earlier.) Seems once again Jay and the R O C are bitin Nas' stuff. Check it out:
Belly's main character: Buns
SP's main character: Beanz
Bunz's girl: Keisha
Beanz's girl: Aisha
In both movies there is a female assassin.
Barbra Streisand does not appear in either of the movies.

If you've seen both movies then you know Beanz is a sucker compared to Bunz, that Keisha was much much badder than Aisha and wouldn't have put up with a bustersucker like Beanz, and thirdly that Chiquita was a much more stylish assasin than crappy Amil (how the hell did she get out of the courtroom anyway???)

In summary this movie is light years behind Belly, but is still worth seeing. I really liked the characters played by Damon Dash and Jay-Z.
