Why did Shane Meadows dislike this film?

I have heard that he is not overly proud of this film. I actually thought it was funny, touching and original. I was expecting to be really disappointed with it being a massive Shane Meadows fan and thinking this was his low point. I dont think he should be embarrassed with this piece of work.

I think this film worked really well. I think it was original and funny, it wouldn't have worked with no names. Rhys was brilliant with great comic timing, once in a while a film like this really compliments his stuff. Stroke of genius/ I have watched the Western that the film shadows, "Once Upon a Time in the West", its a hysterical (so far away it's just not even funny)and humbling homage to the classic. Its humbling and wonderful, we all know he can do powerfully arthouse and moving films this is just plain good FUN :)

I don't blame him as it was completely stupid.
