So glad someone is telling their story

I've read some of the stories, partucularly the stories of one of the boys who settled in our area. It was very compelling. I look forward to seeing this film.

Me too, angelspice70. Some of the lost boys appeared in the San Francisco Bay area a few years ago but I never knew their story. I wouldn't be surprised if the local young men were on the same flights from Africa as John, Panther and Daniel. The timing and the ages are right.

I'm so proud of what great leaders the boys evolved into. They really did live the American dream. I just hope they can eventually bring their wives and children to join them.

This was a really great documentary showing both the joy and hardships of settling in America. The 3 men profiled have wonderful spirit, and hopefully this film helped to open up people's eyes about what is happening in to people in war-torn countries and how we can help. The book "They Poured Fire On Us From the Sky," written by three Lost Boys who settled in San Diego is very good as well. It focuses mostly on their life during the war & in the refugee camps (but has a little about coming to America).
