Have found it on DVD in Toronto's Chinatown

I was lucky enough to find it in Toronto's Chinatown. I got it for $8.50 Canadian. It is an all region DVD and is 119 minutes long. The version going around the Film Festival circuit is 99 minutes. There are at least two extra scenes: 1) Shimma's sister comes to Volcano HIgh and using bee pheremone perfume to entrance Kyung-soo into agreeing to join the Rugby club (she's the new transfer student at the end of the film), and 2) one of the 5 new teachers playing piano for music class and being interupted by the Rugby team's coughing. So, he uses one of them as an example by hitting the student in the chest and causing him to cough up blood.
The DVD menu is in Korean and english. You have a choice between dts, Dolby surround, or Dolby 6.1 surround sound. There is also a choice of either Korean, Chinese, or English subtitles. The English subtitles are excellent. White with black background shadow so, you can read them no matter what's on the screen.
Be careful if you buy it since sometimes the DVD's sold in Chinatown are region specific for Asia and may not play on your machine.

I saw it at the Toronto International Film Festival too, and I was impressed that the director had no previous experience in the genre, yet he used non Hong Kong people for the crew, which is unusual, given the amount of wire work in the film. It worked out well though, as the effects (wires and CGI) are quite well done.

I can't help but wonder if Fox should be calling this director about a certain well known anime series that they're planning on making into a live action film.

You know, every year at the film festival, I come across a couple of gems like this one that never make it over here. Two others that stood out this year were Spirited Away, and The Eye, I hope to have them all on DVD sooner or later.

I've been looking for Volcano High (Whasango) and The Eye at the Videoflicks, HMV, Chapter-Indigo, and Amazon sites, but I haven't come across a trace of either yet. I don't have the slightest idea where to look in chinatown, so any advice would be appreciated.
