Anyone know the piece they were playing on the piano? Schumann, I guess, but what piece?

Actually it's Schubert. Impromptu Op.142 in A flat major

Are you sure? No, I'm certain that it was Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire".

Yes and I kept waiting for the cadenza, I was 100% sure it would come the last time the Schubert was played. But I was wrong. To me at the time, that was a weakness of the film, a missed opportunity to satisfy the audience, but now that I've had a chance to think about it, its absence was in keeping with the mystery of this wonderful little movie.
