Over done!

I think this movei was over dramatised a fair bit. I mean they took to average gys, differany but average all the same. tried to make it look like something more and it really didnt work. I know some of you will disagree with me.. But this is the first movie that ive thought about wlaking out of... It was just so boring. It wa slike following the average guy around for a week......

If you wanted superheroes you should have gone to see "The Increadibles". But that is simply American action extravaganzas and American films really can not compare to the brilliance and purely exellent films of Asia and Europe.
Excluding The Transporter crap. That was beyond awful.

This is a philosophical film and a wonderful one at that.

Are you insinuating that America only produces "action extravaganzas"? All countries that produce broadcast films on a broadcast level have good ones and bad ones, with no exclusion to America.

Most recently viewed:
Man on the Train (US Title) - 8.0/10.0
Seven Samurai (US Title) - 7.5/10.0
Eastern Promises - 6.0/10.0

its hard to take your opinion seriously, at least for me, when you rate a movie like seven samurai a 7.5 and eastern promises a 6.0. But thats just me, and besides, far less of american cinema is philosophical. i hear many say how great no country for old men was... i found that movie pretty exciting, but thoughtless compared to the book.

Time is Luck. The Luck has ran out.

I totally agree.

Obviously uneducated people find the film overdone. I mean, why can't you spell and use proper grammar? If you have an opinion, at least learn to write it down correctly.

reply

That is not called for. Attack the argument, not the person, or you just reveal yourself as "educated" perhaps, but certainly not wise.

You're absolutely right. I made a logical fallacy. I apologize.

still, reading the original post was a painful experience.

I agree - anyone who can't take the time to read over what he's about to post, and goes ahead with a marginally-illiterate opinion casts tremendous doubt upon the quality of the thought therein. And IMDb gives a preview of what it's going to look like before you release it for the world to see.

This is a general observation on postings anywhere on the internet.

... following the average guy
... the average bank robber

reply

i do think it was a bit slow in places, but thta's only b/c i am antsy at the moment. i don't think the film was too slow on its own. remember, it's a literary film and so for that reason will not follow the pacing and other conventions from regular cinema.

all in all i thought it was an excellent film. good story, characters, well acted. the robber guy was the bomb. very cool. like a french charles bronson
