I just seen the translation, but I *think* it was the same in French...

The lady before Milan paid 3.20 for one baguette. Milan paid 8.60 for two.

Was it more expensive because he was a stranger? Or did the writers make a mistake?

I noticed it as well and I was pretty confused, because actually I think writers made a mistake ; it's obvious he intimidated her, so I don't think she could just raise the price so easely...

He is a stranger and us being charged "tourist price."
