My feelings after watching this (spoilers)

I watched this in the evening and then found myself unable to sleep when I went to bed. I was really upset by it: the tragedy of Anthony and Ricky's deaths and the struggle for the adults - Dinah, Madelaine and Ricky - to love easily. I must be a glutton for punishment though as I now want to read the novel!

The most devastating lines were Ricky to Madelaine:

what an ugly woman you are. Does this mean I'm an ugly man?

The world forgetting, by the world forgot
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

Similar experience here. Just saw it last night and couldn't stop thinking about it. I had to watch it again. Still saddening though... :(

The novel is even better, if you can believe it.

How does it differ from the film? Were Ricky, Madeline & Dinah, as played by the actors, how you imagined them from the book?

So what other Lehmann novels do you recommend to a fan of The Echoing Grove/The Heart of Me?

Btw between involves 2 persons, for 3 it's amongst. Just a little tip.
