eva is shown throughout the entire film as being an intelligent woman so why on earth would she believe ray is actually dead?? i can understand that she would believe it at first and pass out after hearing the news. but after waking up she would obviously want the following info......
where did the accident take place?
where were his remains sent??
where is the truck??
who was involved in the crash??
which hospital treated him??
Eva accepted Ray's fate as a sign that she was silly to believe her own fate would ever allow her to hold on to something that seemed so perfect. She didn't question it because it made sense to her, given her history of not being able to experience long term happiness. She was too numbed by sorrow to think otherwise.
sharehmmm i think that is one hell of a reach screen14. even if she herself was too "numb" her sisters and friends werent. they definitely woulda been asking questions as nosy as they were.
