Probably a dumb question . . .

I don't know if I would say camcorder in the sense of it being a like a jvc or sharp or low end consumer model such as that. However, it had to be shot on a digital format, the colors were so supersaturized and comicbook like that I can't see an alternative. It's not technicolor...so my opinion would be yes.

Not sure about how relevant the question is by now, almost 3 years later. But by judging from the behind the scenes footage I clearly see standard 35mm cameras all around the filming. So I'll think the imdb-tech-note about it being shot on 35 with spherical lenses is correct. The super-saturated look is most probably done in post with digital intermidiates... or as a straight forward lab-process.
