7.9?
My god in heaven...How on earth could this genius show be only 7.8? So dark, sooo funny!
shareI'm glad you're questioning the score being so low, I havent seen this yet and am looking forward to watching the DVD of it. If the first thread about it on IMDb said that it was over-rated I think I would have been put off it! :/

No f-----g s--t lady, do I sound like I'm ordering a pizza??
Watched it yet?
shareI'm afraid that I only had a chance to watch the first two episodes before my partner had to return the DVD to her friend at work.
I really liked it, but I can tell why some people may not have done. There was no 'League of Gentlemen' style extreme charatcers, and nothing quite as deliberately silly as 'Phoneix Nights'. It had a quiet reserve that if you tuned into the programme halfway through you would maybe struggle to immediately identify it as a comedy.
Perhaps a bit too subtle for a mainstream audiences taste?
Still, 7.9 is still a very high mark!

Totally see what your saying. It is very subtle comedy and is not for mainstream audiences at all, but in these days of Little Britain type gross out humour its an absolute breath of fresh air.
shareIt's got a very special blend of subtle and extreme! The episode "all over my glasses" just kills me! Perhaps it's because I am Welsh or perhaps it's just because I have known people like Stephen but this is almost so exact it's scary. Even Rob Brydon in the commentary for this episode says that he has known guys like this even during the scene where he is intimidating the shop asssistant!
Little strokes fell great oaks!
It's a 10 for me. This short series is the pinnacle of cringe comedy, IMHO.
However, if you don't like cringe comedy, then it gets a 1 or less!
After all, what makes it _very_ good for you and me, makes it _very_ bad for people who hate the genre. And that's a lot of people!
