WHYY???

Why film directors are killing good polish books one by one??? Is it ever going to end???!!! Arghghrarg!!

reply

So far i haven't seen any good polish book killed by a film director (well, with the exception of Ogniem i Mieczem only). Instead, there are many good adaptations like Pan Tadeusz or Wiedzmin... so perhaps your expectations are too killing the movies, not the directors.

I beg to differ. Ogniem i Mieczem was a much better and more exact film than Wiedzmin. Maybe you ought to re-read the books, because, other than minor scenes that just couldn't make it into the already gigantic film, the main inaccuracy was nothing more than the heroine's haircolour ))))

Plus, unlike Wiedzmin, Ogniem i Mieczem was actually highly entertaining!

Because they are money wh*ring pigs. Even tho I am not polish I felt betrayed as if I would LOTR was shot by some college graduate and Aragorn was played by asian actor or elves in the movie would've worn orange ear prosthetics.
