I hate Sapkowski (the author of the books about Witcher)...

I really do hate him :(
After his G E N I U S books I can't find enjoyment in other fantasy which I loved!!! Seriously, even rereading LOTR, Ursula Le Guin, G. Martin, etc, etc do nothing for me now :(((

Anybody has similar problem?

LOL, well, I certainly can't say I hate him, but I think I know what you mean. I did read LOTR and The Hobbit, and I did love them until I read "The Last Wish." That book blew those books out of the water, and they were very good. I'm looking forward to reading "Blood of Elves" next. He has certainly set the bar very high for anything else I read. Hopefully he keeps writing books about the Witcher.

Have you read Joe Abercrombie books ? If you like the books you mentionend you will love the three books of the 'The First Law-Trilogie' and his 4th book 'Best served cold'

you should check out the "Night Angel Trilogy" by Brent Weeks. He has some very strong characters and similar style to the Witcher books

Hey, genius. You should use SPOILER! when you are writing about crucial details of the story.

True to say, Guin was still great even after I had read Witcher saga, however, Tolkien is kid stuff now.

Hell I'd say we all have to bombard Orion with e-mails to get other books translated including the sword of destiny. I read them all before in Polish and they're amazing and I wish I would be able to get them in English unfortunately the Gollancz is not really fast... The time of contempt was meant to be released this year but now on amazon uk it's coming up with the publishing date 1 st of May 2013... like wth there're still 4 more waiting to be translated and with this speed we won't get them till 2030...
