Edited???

i'm just wondering if the dvd released by tristar columbia was edited? i've been curious about this film but a lot of films released by this company that orignated from asia tend to come out to the states edited spite the fact that it has dual languages like the movie gorgeous starring both jackie chan and shu qi. if anyone has seen both version can you please let me know. thank you for your time.

I hate that when they do that. But anyways, the dvd release seems to be edit free. I've watched a Chinese VCD version and own the tristar columbia DVD and didn't notice any cuts.

Ok, I orddred my copt off of ebay like 5 months before it was rleased to the states. My copy is rated PG-13 while the version released in the Staes is R. according to the MPAA mine is rated PG-13 becuase of non-stop action sequences, language and some senuality while the R-rated version in the staes is for pervasive violence and sexual diolgue. So, is there added footage in the R-rated version or did they simply have the MPAA rate it again before selling officially in the states and they gave it an R?

Instead of a hitlist, I have a Do NOt Kill List . . . . . so far no one is on it.

I would guess you got a bootleg. My sister bought a bootleg copy of The Little Mermaid one time, and it had two different ratings on the back.
