Bosworth's ex-boyfriend in the movie is terrible

He is probably the worst actor I have ever seen and every line of his is painful to listen to. "What you think you can surf it for real?" He should be shot in the face.

I could be wrong but im pretty sure he wasnt a actor, he was a local who they used as well as alot of the others (his friends).

If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

Yep he was a local he's not an actor he's name's chris taloa or something

reply

I agree. He definitely needs lessons. I knew he was a local as soon as he spoke!

Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes- Jim Carrey

reply

hmm i guess he was bad at delivering his lines but it seemed realistic which in the end is what movie are meant to seem like...natural...lollllllll

yes sticking up for the little guy is what i do baby hahah

Pidgin nothing - this guy was AWFUL!
It had nothing to do with his dialect and everything to do with his delivery.

Like watching a high school play.

yeah he was a really bad. lol

Totally agree (except for the shot in the face thing, perhaps). He spoke so fast that his lines all slurred together. youthinkyoucansurfitforrealwhatshethinksshecansurfitforreal? For some reason, almost all new actors (or non-actors) try to get all their lines out at once and almost never pause. This guy did it every time he opened his mouth. I actually thought his friend (the guy who joked about dragging Eden into a cave with him) was far better.

Chris is a surfer not an actor and the director hired him because of his look and authentic Hawaiian dialect.

Or...the director and producers cast him and a bunch of the extras from among locals in order to buy their way in at Pipe. It's well known that an infamous crew "runs" Pipe and many of the surfing extras were members. They should have made him work with a dialogue coach, though.

I didn't think he did a bad job acting, because not everyone speaks the same way and has perfect diction outside of the movies. If you don't talk like a linguist, people say that you can't act. His character was terrible though. It made her look dumb to have hooked up with him. I've never understood why they feel the need so often to give the "heroine" an *beep* ex-boyfriend. Transformers is another movie where they do that. It just makes the her look like a dumb slut. I know that I wouldn't want a chick who had been with that guy.

Milo Ventimiglia is the worst actor in the history of television. And condoms feel terrible.

reply

Because people don't make mistakes or anything... Are you still this judgmental two years later? God, I hope you've grown a little.
If you ever find just one chick that has never dated an idiot, you've found one in a million. Better hope she thinks you're cool, but don't be surprised if she says "no, I don't date judgmental a-holes." Then again, she might have crooked teeth or some other unforgivable fault...

Most exes are terrible. That is why they are exes. I think the name of the "actor" is Chris Taloa. He was convincing as a Hawaiian surfer. But with all due respect, as an actor he wasn't exactly Daniel Day-Lewis.
