This was a tricky movie! One thing i didnt understand at all was the meeting between the two on the train, a couple of minutes from the end. I dont get it at all, she was in Japan and he was in Korea, still they bumped into each other. Did i miss anything?

along with the coincidence of her having a photo of him, the character of his older brother? and neice drop by and then they disappear, other stuff too that gets by, there's a lot of characters, events, etc that have nothing to do with what eventually happens at the end, what seems to be the point of it all, but i don't think it matters, you could have a traditional love story, but that's not what this is
Isn't he visiting his lost sister in Tokyo? The time frame on the two stories is deliberately out of sync (thus he finds her on the Asako website before we see her modeling).
Movie is charming as hell. Just pulled it out of a dvd bin in Chinatown.
Doesn't he take a trip to Japan looking for her? You see him enter a travel agent's office at one point and he makes the phone message saying he's not in Seoul...
I think it's cool that she also runs into the other porn guy on the train with his wife and little boy.
