C. Thomas Howell's 'acting'.

What the hell was that all about?
I understand he would have fears over what happend perviously, but the way CTH played Jim in this was stupid.
I thought he would sh!t himself if he saw his own shaddow, and he was supposed to be a cop?
There is playing fear/terror and acting like a pussy...CTH fell into the latter.
He was great in the first film, even with the lack of any real experience. Yet years later he seems to have forgotten how to act.

I was gald they killed Jim off, I could not stand the "acting" anymore....it was so bad it made Jake Busey look good.

Ah come on, he did alright! I mean its not like the script was top notch anyway.
Personally I wish he wasn't in this movie nor should this movie have ever been made. I actually kinda wish I hadn't seen it at all but my curiosity finally got the best of me. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to watch the original again for the billionth time to get the bad taste of medocrity out of my mouth.

Call me crazy but I want at least a taste of heaven, before an eternity of hell.

Like you stated the script was not written too well and I thought his acting was good in this film. My feeling is that they waited way too long to make a sequel that should have happened in the early to mid 90's to be honest with you instead of almost 20 years to have it made.

I agree with the O.P, i was going to post the same question basically, "did he forget how to act"

He seemed so smooth and natural in the first one and between that film and this one its like he took acting lessons from a terrible teacher and ruined his natural ability.

I dont know that I could find a similiar scenerio where an actor changed his style so much.

You also have to remember that back during the 80's he was doing a lot more films than what he is doing now. It might be due to a little rust that he has.
