Once Again

I Looooove the orginal Hitcher. And I also love how they brought back Tommy Howell for part two. But the part I did not like... he died..and the chic lived.... Women always say that women always play the victim in horror films and they are sexist.. but in reality thats sooo not true. The screaming chic ALWAYS lives most of the time. It drives me crazy. It is so rare anymore that the guy kicks ass and lives. Thats why I loved the first Hitcher. Cause the guy outlived the chic. The second one wasnt horrible.. It just pissed me off. The remake wasnt bad either but of course once again they switched around so the chic lived.. uggg so anoying..

Lots of the thread titles spoil the film as it is. Why get upset over this?

This is my theory on this on why the chic lives instead of the guy. See todays society is trying to tell women that they can be as tough and strong as us men. Take a look at the films that have been coming out in the last possibly 10 years now. What are a lot of the films targeting now? If you look at it ever since Angelina Jolie did the two Lara Croft films they have made her into a action hero for the women. See I am not against this, but there are still things cannot do though. If a female sailor decided that she wants to go Navy SEALS and she submits her package to Special Warfare Command guess what would happen? She would get her package right back with it stating DENIED! It is going to change eventually to where they will allow women to try out for SEALS, but not yet. I would love to see a horror film where the guy lives through it and the female who is terrified as to what is going on is killed off in the film.

Unlike others who hate this film, I thought it was ok. But I hated that Howell died as well. This is the same reason I refuse to watch the later Highlander films. I grew ip watching Duncan in the highlander series but I knew of Connor and had seen the film before the show. For me, Connor will always be the ONE, never Duncan.
