This game looks awesome.
I read a whole article about it in Game Informer. You fight all over time through flashbacks. Every quickening gives you new abilities and powers. Instead of a life bar you have a fatigue bar which when worn out makes you vulnerable to head shots. If you are fighting mortals you can use your immortality against them, i.e. They stab you and you pull the blade deeper to reach them. I really can't wait for this to get released.
I really hope they don't screw it up.
I'm excited, too (though I'd rather you had been able to creat your own immortal instead of Macleod number five). I know that Connor and Duncan show up in the game, and that your mentor is Methos. Your story sounds a lot similar to Colin Macleods, but regardless....I'm hoping it's awesome. And the Queen soundtrack better be intact.
