HELLOOOO JOOOOOOE

So... I'm watching this for the first time.

Ubervillain shows up... starts picking on Duncan... Joe comes screaming in on his pickup truck (which he apparently just drove to what I thought was Eastern Europe from his bar in New York after getting the phone call from Methos), and runs into the Guardian, who, while being thrown fifty feet back by the impact, yells HELLOOOOO JOOOOOE!!!

Is this like a Highlander parody, or something?

I gotta admit, the whole ridiculousness made me laugh sharply.

I then proceeded to rewind it and watch that scene about five times before making this post.

Back to the film...

And now, Joe's driven to the Zagora Monastery, so I guess he *did* drive across the Atlantic Ocean in five minutes...

I'm gonna start drinking, now.

Now the Guardian just sang a few bars of Queen.

I'm gonna need more whiskey.

My God. Now I'm hearing a bad cover of Princes of the Universe.

This is like a bad YouTube fan-made Highlander 2 themed music video.

reply

All right, finished.

I take back all the bad things I ever said about Highlander II. That movie was Citizen *beep* Kane next to this aborted piece of *beep*

My God, this is the worst thing I have ever seen.

I loved Highlander so much.

What the hell did they think when creating “The Guardian”?! “Hmmm… he should be very evil and bald (like The Kurgan). And he should wear a blue leather outfit… and a helmet!!! And, and, he should be REALLY FAST!!!”.

Why a helmet, I wonder? (Not to mention one that looks so stupid.) It's not like he has to worry about dying from being bashed in the head. If anything he should be wearing an armored leather collar, like what the Romans put on their fighting dogs. Or a medieval gorget like the knights wore, once they invented plate armor.

And I love having a monstrous, deformed, demonic-looking creature in just about any movie, but honestly, I could design a better-looking, more scary Guardian...as could probably anyone else here. The one in the movie just looks lame.

I laughed really hard when I read this. That's pretty much how I felt.
