Didn't anybody start worrying when...

...some idiot said "I know what the next Highlander film should be- It's set in the future and it's like a total dystopia and we find out where the immortals come from! And instead of flashbacks to the past we'll rewrite the whole immortals mythology into something completely different that has absolutely no relevance to what's gone before!"

Surely a slight sense of deja vu should have set in at that point (long before some other nutter thought it'd be a good idea to start actually filming it)!
