i hated that they were suppost to be in middle school because the girls looked like they were 18ish...plus daisy (the girl who played her )was really 24!!!!! i can't believe they got 18 and 24 year olds to play 14 year olds!!! i mean...hello......they dont even look like them!!!i would have guess daisy to be 16 in really life but never 14. that really pissed me off.

I agree. That should be a high school. Since when are middle schools that huge?? Since when do middle school students look like that?? im a middle school student and i look NOTHING like that. no one is my school does...so unrealistic...

shareIn the movie the girls are in ninth grade, so, they are between the ages of 14-16, depending on when they started school and all that. Usually, they have people play teenagers that are between the ages of 17-24. Alot of times you find that the teens that ages seem to "young", and they want to appeal to older audiences, so they go to older ages. It's a more universal appeal if you have more mature looking characters. Back to the point, when I was in eighth grade and ninth grade [but that was my High School, but still the same grade] I know alot of people that looked that age. I don't think any of them looked that much older than the girls in my grade. The oldest looking is Daisy, but she was the oldest in real life I believe. I admit some looked like Sophmores, but I know people that look younger than that, that are Juniors and Seniors. Not everyone looks their age. Alot of times people look younger or older than they really are.
As for a big Middle School. The middle school in my town has about 700 kids.
I just watched this again. I don't think it was too off on the appearences and size of the school.

it's possible, actually. some middle schools go from 7-9 grade. just because YOU go to a middle school with grades 6-8 (i do too), that doesn't mean every school is like that.

So, Daisy, at least, is 15, not 14. Not that particularly makes a huge difference, but you said the actress playing Daisy could pass for 16, and 15 is only a year younger than that.
The one girls dad said the guys looked to young to have there licences. Is he on crack, they looked like they were 20 years old. That part was so funny. And then what's more funny is that he thinks his daughter looks young enough to be in middle school.
I was in middle school in 2002 and the main girl was born in 1978 she was 12 years older then me and she was playing a middle schooler?

Where i'm from there are no middle schools just high school which range from 7-12th grade. The only dividers are that the Junior High kids (7-8th) have their own cafeteria while we have our own and they usually have classes in the basement or 1st floor.
Back to the movie, to be honest I was barely even paying attention to their ages or anything like that. I just automatically assumed they were in high school, but when I found out I was slightly shocked. I could really care less because in the end I still watched the movie never thinking or caring. Its a fictional DISNEY movie that filled up an afternoon....Get over it.
