Location. Real or CGI ?

The prison interiors and some exteriors were obviously some kind of factory or refinery but was the island and the causeway real?

The armed guards and strange uniforms made me think it was a kind of "alternate reality" since British prisons do not have armed guards or have that style of uniform.
