This is just for fun guys, let's no get too literal!
If you were casting this movie and had NO RESTRICTIONS, no time/era restrictions you can literally cast anyone from any period, who would you cast?

Roxie - Liza Minelli
(I found this one the hardest actually, either Liza or Gwen Verdon, of course, possibly Goldie Hawn, but I would love to see a young Liza give this a go on the back of her success temporarily taking over from Gwen on Broadway)

Velma - Catherine Zeta-Jones
(Id keep it as Catherine to be honest, she was pretty dead on! Maybe a young 30s era Joan Crawford)

Billy Flynn- Gene Kelly
(Slick, charming and pure charisma, who else but Gene?)

Amos - Karl Malden
(Karl is the reason I thought of this, I was watching another movie with Karl and found myself thinking 'he'd have made a good Amos Hart)

Mama Morton- Mae West
(Mae would have chewed every inch of scenery available as Mama, although I'm sure she'd have forced a few more one-liners in her scenes)

Bandleader- Sammy Davis Jr
(Any of the Rat Pack actually, having SDJ, Frank or Dean in a cameo as a slick, uber cool musician would have been perfect, they ooze the coolness that the bandleader needs)

Mary Sunshine - Angela Landsbury
(Her musical theatre background would have made her memorable in the small but quirky role)

Fred Casely- Martin Balsam
(Who else to play a supporting character, Balsam would have been excellent as the slimey con man)
