Wow

I thought this film was superb. The acting was marvellous. In particular, Charles Dance was the consummate villain, and Robert Carlyle was a revelation. You could taste the frustration he felt at dealing with an antiquated and bigoted justice system, which he fought tooth and nail. Wonderful. Reminded me, probably because of the subject matter, in many ways of To Kill a Mockingbird. I would be interested to see how this compares with Rabbit Proof Fence, which I have still not seen.

i definately agree with you!! i was thinking exactly the same thing (that it reminded me of to kill a mockingbird). i watched rabbit proof fence for an english assignment, i fouond it not nearly as good, although the ideas in the film were excellent, the acting left something to desire.

I enjoyed this film a good deal. I'm a fan of Kerry Fox's work.

I don't like the way this film sets everything up as "GOOD" versus "E-VIL"! Rabbit Proof Fence is a much better film because it does not depict the people who took the children as "E-VIL"! We know now that what they did was wrong. At the time, many of them believed they were doing the right thing.

Here's to a formal apology to the aborigines from the new Australian Govt. Sorry Day, Feb 13th 2008!

Top pure actors.Too bad that All-White Australia did not have the guts to keep it that way. They are alrady payiing for it morally.
But oh let us Whites not save the White Afrikkaner from being macheted to death by thousands of stupid black gangs.White babies tortured for hours then burned to death.
As a disabled White soldier/mercenary it makes me wretch at the cowardly
Australian and all other White wimps doing nothing to stop it.
But keep taking the phony Nigerian asylum seeker into your White countries en masse...so they can rape White women/children and go free.

I take it you preferred it when only white folk were doing all the raping, murdering and plundering of indigenous lands and resources.
