steven 'hedake' smith is real.

there's a steven hedake smith who played in the Philippine Basketball Association during the 1996 season. not sure if that was the one in the movie though but what a coincidence if ever that's true.

He is the same guy, he played at ASU and was implicated in a point-shaving scandal. I was at ASU at the time.

Stevin "Hedake" Smith even played in the NBA.

He played 10 games in 1997 for the Dallas Mavericks
