Contradicts itself

For those who saw it, did you notice this too? Ok, the girl dumps her "brain in his d**k" jock boyfriend and goes out with a "geeky" kid because he's actually nice and not just after sex, right? Well, every time we hear his inner monologue (a funny phrase for a movie like this), it's always something vile and sex-related about her. Wait, but you're thinking, he REFUSED the lap dancer, he's NOT after sex! Well, half true. Apparently he only wants one woman, one woman who appeals to his BRAIN, which is also apparently IN HIS D**K as well! Not quite a nice-guy-gets-the-girl story as much as a guy-who-hides-his-intentions gets the girl story, to me that is. Beyond that, there are (a few) funny scenes, not to mention Winnie from Thw Wonder Years and Donkey Lips from Salute Your Shorts! Yay! Although those two pretty much dissapear without any resolution toward the end of the movie. All in all, I think the main charachter is a little miswritten (or misguided), and doesn't really fit the good-guy charachter at all when you think about it, but it's worth a cheap rental for a few scenes that are pretty funny, most involving side charachters though. I think it's a decent but misguided movie.

Wow, I agree with it contradicting itself, but I don't agree with it being decent. This was the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. I was shocked it wasn't on the bottom 100.

Maybe I was just psyched to see Donkey Lips or something, didn't know he was still doing stuff. It's just decent in comparison to whatever movie a 14 year old neighbor kid would make. I just try to find the good in things, I laughed a couple times. It's not truly "good" by any means, but I did laugh a little, and I have to give it that.

P.S. If you're in the mood for a movie that blows this one out of the water in being horrible, check out "Rock & Roll Nightmare". THAT is the worst movie I have ever seen, and there's nothing I can even think of to redeem it, any of it. It goes beyond bad, to so bad it's good, to too embarrasing even to watch alone bad. In my bottom 100, it's #1, Death Tunnel is probably #2. Later.

Yeah, this movie was pretty bad. I ordered it on OnDemand (PPV on digital cable) and taped it but it was just horrible. The cast was definately impressive, but the script was so sad (especially the entire ending). The main character is just horrible in his quest for sex. I admit, a few funny moments arose, but most fell flat on it's face. I would recommend "Trojan War" which crosses the same lines, but handles it much better.

LOL, I feel bad for young actors who want a break and have to work with this trash writing.

I think the reason they had him keep thinking about sex was because the movie itself is "Sex and the Teenage Mind". So while someone might be deeper about being with someone but it is a teenage boys mind after all. It did seem all those sweet things he said to her or about her to other people were genuine. It isn't like he was Smooth through the whole thing, he just spoke from his heart and won the girl.

Although there are plenty of flaws with it. He seemed more like a poor version of Ferris Beuler(*SP?) character that can get out of trouble. Not only did he get away with admitting to have the notes and give all the answers to the test, but was able to help his friend with the prank without getting into trouble or have it backfire. He acts like Jerry Lewis and just keeps getting more and more in with the girl. Add the fact that not only does he punch the Jock in front of his other two friends but the Jock ends up being a coward and threatens to sue him.

Then the Twist where he was dreaming it all just to have it all happen anyway was bad. I was also not a fan how Homophobic the parents seemed. I know it is 13 years old so they are not as PC as they are now, but it still rubbed me the wrong way.
