I just picked this up at Best Buy, and loved it! The style of Jeremy speaking to the camera took me a scene or two to get used to, but after that I was totally along for the ride! Much better than I'd expected- a good commentary on film, and a touching love story on top of it. Jeremy Sisto is sooo good!

I've always loved Jeremy Sisto. He was terrific in this movie. I thought it was very clever and imaginative.

It was kind of cute. I did like the ending, that made it sweet - but I'm not sure it's the kind of film I'd watch again. Jeremy Sisto is so unbelievably charming, sexy, handsome (I'd love to see him play Jim Morrison, actually) and has an awesome voice - but I thought Peter Stormare had the most fun. He was also an executive producer!

Whoever did the costumes had no clue - the psychiatrist was dressed awfully sleazy to be complaining about her professionalism (I know she was new at it, but still - I'd be shocked to see one wearing a sleeveless blouse and skintight skirt).

Heh, i thought the same thing about her clothes. It was jarring. I couldnt see someone in her postion, (especially since he was calling her his 'love interest' and she wouldnt want to lead him on) wearing some of that stuff.
Overall, i loved the movie tho mostly because of the main character and the overall originality of the idea. couldve been better with some fine tuning, but alltogether a nice film.

So I adored this movie. I saw it in Bestbuy but only had enough money for one movie. It became my little obsession to see it, so I shelled out the super expensive B&N price to get a copy. I love it, even for its hokieness. Especially for its hokieness. :D

I thought it was really sweet. Not the best movie I've ever seen, but one I'd reccomend. I will admit, though, I was at the Egyptian theater on Hollywood Blvd tonight and I couldn't help thinking of the movie.

Took a while before I could get into the movie, but once I finally did, they bring up the biggest cliche in movies the hero shows ZERO respect for his love interests personal life by actively pursuing her inspite of the fact she lives and until he stalks her, loves her fiancee, whom is just trying to keep an outsider from trying to steal his love, he's unfairly labeled a jerk or an *beep* because he gets upset the hero stalks his fiancee and comes to his home at night to try to steal her from him. The movie would've been alot better if the hero didn't get the girl!

Hard to describe this movie, because it is very creative.

I'll try to explain to the best of my abilities:

It is kind of like Ghost World (Thora Birch, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi) with a different message.

Take place in southern California in an urban city.

There is a villain who does have some freakish power. It's like a special touch.

Still, the movie is based in hum drum reality, as the hero doesn't have any special powers and most people think he should be in a state mental facility. Because he talks to his audience

Audience: The way it's used in the movie is too say that everyone has audience, even though you can't see them. Most people don't understand that and would be like...huh or wtf. If you understand theater or are apart of theater, then it is little more understandable. I can't explain what the total context of the movie was, because I didn't write it. But, we have an audience, whether we like it or not.

Think about the performers in theatre world, in the play they are in their own world and for the most part there is no audience. 9 times out of 10. It's like watching a someone or people through a one-way mirror into another life or another dimension/reality. You hear everything and see all, but the other side cannot respond to you or even knows that you are there. Since in most plays, there isn't any eye contact with audience or the performers are not responding to the people on the front row... Everything is not necessarily within your immediate senses.

Cinema works the same way, except that the characters are not in the same physical space as the audience. The medium is project through a screen, instead.

In your story, you are the main character....no matter how crazy you are, what religion, race, social status, or etc.... you are trying to reach certain point.... call it a plot. Generally, it varies from person to person, which suffice different outcomes.

Dear Folks,
I can't say enough Good things about this film.To me it was a fantasy come true! When I was a child,I would re-enact my favorite films with my friends...
so I really admire Jeremy Sisto's character who can make his own movie come
true. Also I thought that he and Dina Meyer had an Excellent rapport.
Their scenes together are never boring, but fun, touching and even beautiful.
This is a Wonderous Fantasy that can make one appreciate life.
"The Movie Hero" is already a Classic Film .

Wow, no posts since October? Anyway, I thought this was a fun little movie. It occasionally tried too hard to be cute, but overall it's good times.
