He probably never really cared for her if the lure of gambling was so over powering. He starts of the film as sympathetic but gradually goes downhill, similar to what we have seen in other gambling movies, eg. James Cann in The Gambler.

Oh Man, I'm batting 2 for 2 today. I called a friend to wish her a happy mother's day and within 2 minutes I had her in tears just by asking how things were going.
I always like getting replies to something I wrote a ridiculously long time ago because usually I don't even recognize the subject line. Why do all the individual movie title posts hang around for so long and Horror Board posts get deeleted in about 2 months? Is it just because they're so many of them do you think?

I'm still confused that someone posted on this board thinking it was a Sarah Polley movie...either they are internet-retarded or they were trying to make a bad joke in the style of ThrownMuse (on a board no one ever reads--not off to a good start!)
I think that once a board's capacity has been reached, any thread that hasn't been posted on or updated in a couple months gets deleted. I'm not exactly sure how that works. For example, Jacque Vickers's board has threads that haven't been posted on in a few months, but I think they haven't been deleted because her board doesn't have a major amount of posts (a shame, really.) It does appear that the message board disappears from the main page if no one posts on it in awhile.
