Just saw thus on TV. Have a question for persons from Ireland.

Just saw Evelyn film on MGMhd channel (Xfinity CA).I have to say that this movie is great. I very much enjoyed it.
The film appears to be set in some time after the 40's, but please correct me if I am wrong. My question is , whether based on your experience or common knowledge, is the depiction of Ireland, Irish people, or accents, in any way incorrect? Uncharacteristic? Or is the film too forcibly reminding the viewer about Ireland by showing pubs, playing folk music in the background? I've no way of knowing whether any of it is accurate. Thanks!
