They butchered the concert on DVD

I'd just like to say, that it doesn't so much bother me that the company behind this DVD release attempted to completely re-write history and bring Hillary Clinton onstage to applause instead of the barrage of boos that originally greeted her. It does however bother me that one of the major reasons that I bought the DVD release was to again see Melissa Etheridge's performance of "Come to My Window." In the live broadcast, her microphone died onstage. When she got a new one she couldn't remember where she was in the song, and then it seemed like every single person in the crowd sang at once and let her know right where she left off. It was a beautiful and spontaneous moment, and to me it was the highlight of the concert (The Who aside). It was moments like that that made this concert truly special, and I will always think of it as a defining Woodstock-like occasion, if not for an entire generation, then for myself at least. However, on the DVD release some fancy editing is used to disguise that her mic died at all. I'm glad I bought the DVD, and I'm glad the proceeds will go to a good cause, but I'd just like to know whose idiotic idea it was to "clean up" a now historic moment in modern rock and roll? To me it would be like editing the "Monterey Pop Festival" DVDs because those silly men Pete Townshend and Jimi Hendrix had technical difficulties with their guitars. Quite frankly, if I have to sit through "H to the Izzo" I think I deserve to at least get the opportunity to see one of the concert's most defining moments, even in an extra special feature at least.

Yes, I am in complete agreement. Should've been presented as it happened. Also, there should've been no editing out of songs - McCartney did two songs that were completely cut, and he was the main organizer of the event! There may have been other songs cut out - I don't remember.
